This gcode is written so you can enter the XY coordinates for the center of a bore operation. Then enter the radius for 3 passes. Usually the third pass would be a finishing cut. The tool size is not calculated. You can use the pass radius to put the tool where you want it.

This code will surface or face mill on the X Y or Z axis. It does a single pass only (ie it won't go back and forth continuously removing material). All adjustable variables are at the top of the file. You can turn each axis on or off.

Here's an example of a simple spiral along the X and Y axes.. It draws a spiral with size and shape according to the global variables.... It was made in response to some talk in the micro thread a while back.. It is made so that you can actually run it, that is, drive it to the middle of your work envelope, put a pen in your holder, bring it down so that it touches the top off your work surface and press play (It'll raise and pause for you to position paper underneath, if you desire.)

This python script can be opened by EMC2. It gives you an interface to enter your bore parameters and then generates the bore. The tool size is taken into account and subtracted from the final bore dimension. The number of passes are automatically calculated.
